Honoring a Legend – Join the Donn Skadeland Memorial Golf Tournament!

The Teton Booster Club is set for the Donn Skadeland Memorial Golf Tournament. This is a tournament near and dear to the organizers because it honors Donn's years as a Teton and Teton Athletics supporter. Donn Skadeland's association with the Tetons began as a basketball player from 1976 to 1978. His outstanding performance during the 1978 ND State Junior College Championship played a pivotal role in the Tetons' victory, earning him the title of ND State Junior College Tournament's MVP. Even after his playing days, Skadeland's dedication to the team remained unwavering, as he followed every Teton game closely and attended as many matches as possible.

Apart from basketball, Skadeland was an enthusiastic golfer and a strong advocate of the Teton Booster Club's annual golf tournament. To honor his passion for both golf and the Tetons, the Donn Skadeland Memorial Golf Tournament will be a fitting tribute.

The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, August 26th, with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. Participants will gather at The Links of North Dakota, a beautiful golf course that offers the perfect setting for a memorable event. The registration fee is $150.00 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, prizes on most holes, a hole-in-one contest, free food, and entry into the tournament games.

The tournament will follow a 4-person team format and will be structured so that both skilled and novice golfers can enjoy the event and contribute to their team's success. For inquiries and registration, interested participants can call 701-426-2835. You can click here to register online.

The funds from this year’s tournament will be used for scholarships and the capital campaign of the turf project, put forward by the WSC Foundation to redo the WSC baseball and softball fields with turf. One past project was the weight room improvements. Proceeds raised were used to purchase new equipment.
