James Memorial’s Annual Art Fest is Saturday in Williston

The James Memorial Art Center in Williston is a wonderful place to get in touch with your artistic side. You can check out artist exhibits (a new exhibit each month), take youth and adult art courses and attend special events including artist receptions. The historic building is beautiful.

This Saturday, September 16 the James will be "Celebrating Everyday Heroes" at Art Fest 2023. Art Fest is a one-day outdoor art festival held in Williston's Recreation Park. The event has grown over the years and we are so lucky to be able to attend something like this.

Recreation Park will be filled with artists and vendors from 10am to 4pm. I love to attend because it's a great place to discover artists and purchase gifts. I always find a unique gift for someone special or myself. Plus, it feels great to support local artists, the Williston community and The James Memorial Art Center.

Art Fest 2023 features live entertainment, activities for kids, demonstrations by artists, art and craft vendors, food vendors and a live art auction which consists of original art pieces created especially for Art Fest.

This year's featured entertainment will be The Chalk Twins, travelling from Florida to create a beautiful chalk mural on canvas live at the festival! How cool will that be?

All proceeds from the auction go towards special upkeep and building needs at the James to help keep the facility beautiful.

Art Fest is the James' largest fundraiser of the year. I'll be there doing some early Christmas shopping. Look forward to see you there!
