Lost for Cause – Let Bandlands Search & Rescue of Watford City Find You

Badlands Search & Rescue of Watford City is seeking interested people that would like to spend time outdoors with a purpose and make trails for SAR K9s to follow and find you. Lost for a Cause!

All it requires is being able to hike, make the necessary trail and distance, and wait for the k9 team to locate you. And you can help for one venue, multiple venues, or whatever fits your schedule and desire to help.

Lost for a Cause is a great way to learn about SAR, spend some time with dogs, and enjoy the summer weather. If this sounds like fun, they would very much like to speak with you further. Contact Jim at 406-201-0155 for more information.

Basic Requirements:
-No criminal history.
-Sign liability waiver
-Ages 6 to 17 must have parental permission and/or parent/guardian present.

BSAR is a volunteer, 501c3 non-profit that provides search & rescue services at the request of law enforcement, preventative SAR safety and survival education, and assists agencies in SAR missions with the goal of locating the lost, missing & injured and removing them to a place of safety and if needed, medical care.

Badlands Search & Rescue was established in 2018 and is based in western North Dakota. They are an asset to law enforcement in Watford City, ND, Alexander, ND, Keene, ND, Grassy Butte, ND, Belfield, ND, Beach, ND, Medora, ND, Arnegaard, ND, Fairview, MT, and Sidney, MT.  https://www.badlandssar.org/

They rely solely on grants and donations for funding. Members pay for and provide for their own pack, fuel, clothing, vehicles, and other necessities to see the mission through and meet the challenges presented. BSAR members stand ready 24/7.
