North Dakota And Montana Says Hold The Mushrooms Please
A couple of nights ago I was surfing Facebook, and just killing some time before I had to shut things down for bed. I was reading a piece from another Townsquare Media station in Michigan. The article talked about potential targets in the state that COULD be hit should a nuclear war happen. I paused for a second or two, and thought "could that still happen?" You can read that article that started the wheels turning here.
It wasn't that long ago that I remember seeing these signs around Williston. There was one on the front door of the radio station. I believe there was one at the elementary school I attended as well.
With all the uncertainty in the world, and the fact you don't have to look very far to see things are escalating, anything is possible.
The map in question has been out since 2015, but an article published by Yahoo finance in February has it. That's where I found it for this article. If you want to read the original article that CBS News put out back in 2015, click here.
Looking at the map. there is nothing "good" that will come out of any scenario. But look at the heavy dark dots in Montana, North Dakota and the central part is the nation. YIKES!
Here is a better look at the 3 areas I mentioned above. It doesn't look good at all for North Dakota, Montana, Nebraska, or Colorado. These 3 zones contain military bases, ballistic missiles, planes, and more that should make any nation think twice before messing with the US.
What do the dots, triangles, and red stars indicate?
None of this information is meant to cause alarm. The information we are talking about is from 2015. It is just to make you aware of how real this could be. To quote the author from the article in 2015, "Somehow making a journey to Idaho in the post-nuclear apocalypse might be a good option as well. Good day, and good luck."
Now let's lighten the mood with some fun things you might see in the Treasure State!
