The Williston Community Builders is a group that is committed to developing new and innovative attractions that enhance the quality of life in Williston, North Dakota. They have taken part in several community projects and activities, such as the development of special playground and splash pad for kids, the construction of the Freedom Monument, the development of a community garden, and a great deal more. .

One thing that Williston has been missing for many years is an outdoor pool.  To bring back an outdoor pool to Williston, Williston Community Builders have teamed up with the Pool Action Committee. The City of Williston has donated a 3 acre plot of land next to Cutting Field that is going to be the location of Williston Water World.

The Community Builders have been holding many fundraisers to accomplish this goal, including Giving Hearts Day and Pints for a Pool. They pledged their 2021 and 2022 Festival of Trees proceeds to the project as well. So far, thanks to generous donors, they have raised close to $4,000,000.

There's an upcoming fundraiser that movie goers will enjoy - Poppin for a Pool. This partnership with the Grand Theatre is so special. They are offering some of your favorite, family friendly, nostalgic, FREE movies for one day only each month and all the proceeds from popcorn sales will go to Williston Water World.

Movie dates are: March 23rd, April 27th, and May 18th - 2023
Each day will offer two movies to pick from - showing at the North Theater.
Doors open at 4:30pm and Showtime is 5:15pm Movies are FREE to attend and all other sales are cash only.
The movies on March 23 are Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (original) and Dennis the Menace, April 27th movies are Space Jam  and Selena, May 8th movies are Lego Batman and The Blind Side.
They will also be offering drive up options for those who can’t make the movie but still want to support the cause and sneak some popcorn home.
